Yup, it’s getting rough out there and folks are getting upset whether their winter wear is RED or BLUE. I am becoming a regular user of AI and find I am using ClaudeAI more and more and Claude told me today nationwide in 2024, about 20.3% of all scheduled domestic flights were delayed vs. October 2025 rates spiking at some major airports to over 30%; unemployment has risen from 4.1% in September 2024 to an expected 4.3% in September 2025 and that’s not taking into account the folks furloughed from the government; and, the global average surface air temperature was 16.11°C, making it the third-warmest September on record so our friends the polar bears are not happy. Heck, no one is happy! Yup, Howard Beale was right – nothing changes: Give this a peek!

The point is we – yes, you and me, have to take action. It’s clear the 536 folks in Washington and nearly 7,386 total state legislative seats plus around 18,749 state offices with a local level count of over 490,000 positions are not cooperating with one another and they’re not doing “the people’s business”. Like Howard said, I am not telling you to write letters ‘cuz I wouldn’t know what to tell you to write. I am asking you to do something meaningful: Run for office, express your dissatisfaction – RED or BLUE – by being vocal in peaceful protest. Take a furloughed federal employee to lunch – buy ‘em a cup of coffee. Talk to your neighbor and, respecting their positions, listen and learn from one another. To quote Victor Hugo, “Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come” and it’s time for us to have our voices heard outside the voting booth.
Yup, I drifted this month because it was election time and I don’t see much changing. “The parting on the left are now parting on the right” and at the end of the day, it’s where you and I live: The flow of dollars into American businesses and local governments to create new projects, new ideas, new jobs and new opportunities. I help you finance stuff – the stuff that makes your personal, professional and community economies thrive and that takes focus and the setting aside of ideological differences. Sure, you can be RED or BLUE and I will respect your rights…defend ‘em if need be in the public square. But let’s take it out of the economy.

It’s time to change…before we have to!
